70 Years of Educational Exchange:

The United States-Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission (US-SLFC) held a commemorative event to mark the 70th anniversary of signing of the bilateral agreement on November 17, 1952 between the government of the United States and the government of Sri Lanka, to foster educational exchange and deepen mutual understanding between the two countries and its people. The event was held with the patronage of the President of Sri Lanka, Honorable Ranil Wickremesinghe, U.S. Ambassador, Julie Chung along with Fulbright Alumni and friends of US-SLFC. The event featured a wonderful musical performance, blending music and instruments from the east and west, starring Fulbright Alumni, Sitarist Pradeep Ratnayake, Violinist Sulara Nanayakkara, Pianist and Composer Gayathri Khemadasa, Flutist Sureka Amerasinghe, Pianist Kamalinie Samarakoon and the Percussionist Pabalu Wijegoonawardena.
