2012 South Asia EducationUSA Advisers’ Workshop

The US-Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission (US-SLFC) hosted the 2012 South Asia EducationUSA Advisers’ Workshop at Cinnamon Lakeside, from 16 – 18 January.

18 EducationUSA Advisers from the region discussed the activities of the advising centers with special focus on the EducationUSA South Asia University Fair and the Opportunity Grants. There was much discussion on the existing operations, needs and challenges of each advising center. REAC South Asia, Ms. Kathleen Alam organized the workshop. Mr. Christopher Teal, Press and Cultural Officer of the US. Embassy, Colombo and Mr. Tissa Jayatilaka Executive Director, US-SLFC attended the workshop.
