Fulbright Advanced Research and Lecturing Awards

These awards are available for advanced research and/or university lecturing in Sri Lanka, with the goal of increasing mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of Sri Lanka. The awards offer the opportunity for scholars to observe each other's political, economic and cultural institutions, exchange ideas and embark on joint ventures of importance to the general welfare of the world's inhabitants.

While US-SLFC will consider applications from all disciplines, preference will be given to researchers in the fields of humanities and social sciences. All applicants, regardless of discipline, should demonstrate a clear rationale for conducting the proposed research in Sri Lanka. Due to the limited number of awards available, US-SLFC may give greater consideration to those applicants with little or no previous in Sri Lanka. Applicants do not need to be proficient in Sinhala/Tamil.

Number of Awards: 3
