One of the nation’s largest schools, the University of Minnesota offers baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral degrees in virtually every field—from medicine to business, law to liberal arts, and science and engineering to architecture.
The University of Minnesota is committed to attracting and retaining high achieving international students through the Global Excellence Scholarship Program. The scholarships are competitive, merit based awards for first-year undergraduate and transfer students. Last year’s awards ranged from 2,625 to 5,250 per year. Awards renew each year for up to four years. No separate scholarship application is required, all students who complete an admissions application will be considered. The application deadline for admission and scholarship is December 15th for the following academic year.

TULANE UNIVERSITY NEED-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS

Students from across the United States and many foreign countries attend Tulane University. The diversity of the student body enriches the learning experience for all students with an opportunity to experience new traditions and perspectives.
International students may be considered for Tulane institutional need-based scholarship funds. Tulane requires that all need-based scholarship recipients, including international students, maintain full-time enrollment (12 credit hours or more) each semester in a full-time division (Newcomb- Tulane College, School of Architecture, School of Science and Engineering, School of Liberal Arts, Freeman School of Business).

INDIANA UNIVERSITY SOUTH BEND MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS

The Music Area of the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts at Indiana University South Bend offers Bachelor, Graduate, and Diploma programs, as well as a minor. Students begin with a core curriculum of music theory and history, applied music, piano and general education requirements in the humanities, life sciences, mathematics, and social sciences. All students continue to study their principal instrument or voice each semester, as well as participate in university ensembles.
Indiana University South Bend will award its first round of music scholarships for undergraduate and graduate candidates who complete their live audition or send a performance CD or DVD by March 8, 2013. Later submissions will be considered if funds remain.

TAKE FREE GMAT PREP WEBINARS FROM TEXAS CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY

PEPPERDINE UNIVERSITY OFFERS NEW LL.M. AND LEGAL ENGLISH PROGRAMS

Pepperdine University will be offering two new programs this upcoming year, including a new LL.M. with a Concentration in International Commercial Arbitration (ICA) starting this Fall and a legal English training program this summer. The ICA Concentration is a 28 unit (1 year) LLM program and includes six new International Commercial Arbitration courses. Students will have the opportunity to learn from distinguished guest practitioners from Jones Day, Freshfields, King & Spalding, and other major law firms.
The Legal English Gateway Program (Gateway) is a four-week training program for international attorneys and judges and is designed to strengthen legal speaking, listening, reading and writing abilities for non-native speakers. The program will cover topics in legal research and writing, US legal vocabulary and concepts, plus advanced reading, writing and grammar. The Gateway program will also provide participants an opportunity to visit Los Angeles Superior Court, JAMS and meet with lawyers specializing in International Law practice. The summer Gateway program is a perfect preparatory course for students starting an LLM program in the Fall.

GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY LAW CENTER HOSTS WEBINAR FOR LL.M. STUDENTS

The Georgetown University Law Center will host a webinar on February 8th at 10 a.m. (Eastern) for any international students considering LL.M. studies in the United States.
The webinar will discuss the structure of U.S. legal education and the law school admissions process generally, and will also talk about Georgetown’s programs and admissions process specifically.
