Sri Lankan Elephant

A Celebration of Majesty

Based mainly on photographs from his forthcoming book, “Sri Lankan Elephant: a celebration of majesty”(the result of an over 14-year-long personal odyssey photographing elephants in the wild), Vajira Wijegunawardane will take the audience through an intimate visual journey into the elephants’ world. The slideshow will portray elephants as never seen before, in interesting and spectacular lighting conditions, elephants sparring and fighting for supremacy, calves just being calves and rare tuskers in all their grandeur. It will also highlight moments that depict the beauty of elephants in the wild and will showcase the many stunning locations that the elephants are to be found in Sri Lanka.
